Cherry Blossoms

Happy Monday! I had another fantastic weekend, the weather was absolutely gorgeous!!! 60 degrees on Saturday and a whopping 67 yesterday.  Apparently we’re heading for 70 degrees today, lets enjoy it while we can.  While I was out, I made a spontaneous decision to drive down to the Tidal Basin in downtown DC… Wow!  The traffic was at a major standstill, so all I could get was this drive by photo of a few cherry trees.  Side note: Metro really is the only way to visit the Cherry Blossoms!

Most of the trees were not in full bloom, but the crowd was definitely there.  I’m  hoping to return next weekend with my Canon T3i, when they should be fully bloomed in all their pink and white glory.

Stay tuned for my upcoming blog post {maybe later today or tomorrow} on my trip to Baltimore, where I met the most wonderful and eccentric vintage store owner.  You’ll see why she truly deserves her own post!

I hope you’re having a Fabulous and Amazing Monday!

And remember…

It’s A Spring Day…

In Daily Musings on March 20, 2012 at 9:27 am

Welcome To Spring!!

Yay!!!! Spring has finally sprung.  Today March 20th is the first day of spring.  Although I woke up to a major thunderstorm, which didn’t end until around 7:15 a.m. this morning. It’s supposed to be in the 70’s, so we’ll see what happens later.  Lighter jackets, bold print dresses, gorgeous colours, it’s all here.  Let’s not get crazy with the flip-flops just yet ladies, it’s still only March, even if we get freakish 75-80  degrees, as we’ve seen over the past few days. Unless you’re in a warmer climate, then by all means go ahead and show off your pedicure!   There are daffodils springing  up where I live and the cherry blossoms are nearly in full bloom.  My neighbourhood is beginning to look very green and colourful.  I love this time of year,  it just makes you feel more cheerful.  I don’t like winter, with its many layers of clothing and zero degree temperatures.  So here’s to spring, let’s raise our glasses of pink champagne and enjoy.  God knows what heat summer is going to bring this year, but we’ll enjoy it anyway.

Welcome To Spring!!

And remember ladies…
