If you’re looking for a lovely ankle boot, and don’t want to make a serious investment, try the Alecia ankle boot, available at Shoe Dazzle. At a mere $46.00, you can afford to buy both colours {I’m loving the fuchsia!} This little beauty is very elegant with a 5″ heel and 1″ platform, topped off with a demur bow at the heel. Wear this ankle boot with a pencil skirt {with a nice kick pleat in the back of course} and a lambswool or cashmere turtle neck sweater, or pair the skirt with a fitted jacket {leather would be lovely}, then add a motif tee for a fun yet chic look.

I’m just loving the beautiful red shoes Giuseppe Zanotti has just released. These beauties are a recreation of the red mules, the iconic actress, Katherine Hepburn, wore in the classic movie, Summertime, which was released in 1955 {I love black and white/old movies, the clothes, the style!}.
This beautiful recreation in suede with gold piping, studded with red crystals will truly make you the belle of the ball, this upcoming holiday season.

I just discovered this gorgeous Liberty Track Spike trainer (sneaker) via AnOther, which is one of my favourite online magazines. I love this online publication for its funky vibe, great articles and gorgeous photos.
The collaboration between Nike and Liberty’s of London has produced some unusual and funky combinations. See full article at AnOther here. I wish they’d also make it as a sneaker, I’d be first in line for this one. On sale exclusively at Liberty’s Of London £150 {approx. $234)
Liberty’s is one of my favourites stores to visit when I go home to London; to see more of what they have to offer, visit them here: http://www.liberty.co.uk/

The perfect coffee table adornment!
I’m quite intrigued by the heel less shoe which is trying to be the current trend right now (note: I said trying). Thanks in part to Lady Gaga strutting in her Noritaka Tatehana designed shoe back in 2011. What I’ve noticed, is you either really hate this shoe or you really love it. I’m still undecided as I don’t see myself wearing these 20 years from now (will these ever be vintage? NOT!). I do think these red sparkly ones above would look great on display in my living room though; what else would you do with these shoes?. I’ve written about these shoes before, but was inspired to write about them again after attending a fabulous event a couple of weekends ago. There were at least 3 women teetering around in these imaginary 5 inch wonders.

These look like weapons!
After some research and watching YouTube videos, I found out that these shoes are fairly easy to walk in. Apparently the trick is that the shoes are actually quite heavy because they are weighted in the platform base under the toe. Therefore, all your weight is forced forwards, then downwards, so you are unable to tip backwards (I’m still not truly convinced about that). On the flip side, I’ve also seen YouTube videos of fashion shows, where models have stumbled and fallen flat on their faces; not a pretty sight! This is probably the last time you’ll hear about these shoes from me for a while, I’m moving on to other interesting things!
Have an amazing Tuesday!

I know I’ve been posting a lot of shoes lately, but there are so many interesting shoes out there, in other words expect a whole lot more! Now, when I came across these, I didn’t even know what to say. Never have a pair of shoes left me speechless. These are Christian Louboutin 8″ ballet pumps! I’m pretty sure that the only thing you can do with these, is to place them in prime position and just admire them. They are obviously museum pieces and weren’t created to be worn!! (who could!) They’d look really nice on my coffee table. Mr. Louboutin does it again.
Have a fabulous Sunday evening. See you tomorrow. It’s going to be a fabulous week.
Stay Inspired!

Update 5/1 – I just found these and I like them too!! Which do you prefer?

Original Post 4/27 ~ Wow… I’m really late posting today, once again I’m juggling 10,000 things, but it’s been a fantastic and beautiful day. Here’s today’s post!

I’ve been seeing TOM’s shoes around for some time now, I love the charitable cause they represent. With every pair of TOM’s purchased, the company donates a pair to a person in need. TOM’s was founded in 2006 by Blake Mycoskie who had the idea to design and sell lightweight shoes based on the espadrille. I hadn’t purchased a pair because I’m not a huge fan of flat espadrilles, but then… TOM’s created these stylish slip ons, the Meridian Leather and Burlap ballet flat! I absolutely love them, and at $135.00 a pop, they’re an affordable option compared to some others.
See them here: http://www.neimanmarcus.com/page/abtest/product.jsp?itemId=prod143130033&navid=YMALtoproduct
When not wearing 4″ heels (or more), I love to wear my ballet flats for running around doing errands and what not. I’m glad that TOM’s has finally created a shoe, which I don’t mind wearing, and at the same time I can make a contribution to a worthwhile cause. There are other beautiful colours and styles available at http://www.toms.com/, Neiman Marcus and other stores.
Have a fabulous and inspired weekend Dahhlings!!

These ladies look! Queens of their domain. All of them regal and proud in their finery. A friend of mine posted this on Facebook today, and I just had to share. The question my friend asked was, “What do you see when you look at this photo?” What I saw was how proud they are, they look noble and confident. They also look as though they’ve seen a lot. There is also an air of total grace, a sense of togetherness and a sense of family; whether they’re related or not, they’ll stick together through thick and thin. As I said to my friend… “I’d love to wear one of these dresses with a pair of 5″ heels and call it a day” Maybe with my Jeffrey Campbell Lita shoes, don’t you think? Enjoy your Tuesday afternoon.

Lita Shoe! Well it looks like Lita is here for a while and not going anywhere. Lita had a grand debut in July 2010 and even had a first birthday party last year; and she’s still going strong. There have been so many variations of this shoe boot you don’t know where to start, suede, leather, metallic, skin print, studs, lace, patterns, fur, you name it, Lita’s rocking it. There is not a colour way or fabric Lita doesn’t come in. I will be honest, I didn’t know how I felt about her when she first came out, I had a kind of love/hate relationship with her. Then I saw her dressed in purple suede (see pic), in pink suede, in turquoise suede and snake-skin (should I go on?) and I was sold. Black seems to be the hardest colour to come by and is on back order in some places. Now, nearly 2 years later I’m trying to decide which Lita to buy first (I need at least two). There’s a huge Lita following on Instagram (you can also follow me there on iPhone/iPad under Maylana) or you can check her out at www.jeffreycampbellshoes.com, Nordstrom, www.solestruck.com and www.revolveclothing.com where there are great selections. I’m about to get my Lita on, I’ll let you know what I end up with. Smooches!

Well after 3 days of trying to get a handle on this cold, I’m now about 75% back to normal. I plan to be at 100% by Wednesday. I will not be sick for my birthday (1/21 for those of you who may not know). To cheer myself up, I decided to see what’s out there in the shoe world and I found these!!!
They appear to be very much in demand, but I’m determined to find a pair. I also found the lace up version. They can be found out Urbanoutffiters.com and Solestruck.com The quest is on!!

Love These Boots!!
