Browsing through the Zara website, I found this lovely go to item, and now I’m totally in love with this poncho/wrap. I love the earthy colours; you can do a lot with this, throw it on over a pair of skinny jeans and a chunky turtle neck, add a pair of Minnetonka knee-high fringe boots, and you’re off to the races! October is really and truly here! This morning it was 35 degrees, but thank goodness it got up to 55. I’m more of a summer 90 degrees person myself, but I don’t mind this part of autumn, where the air is crisp and the sun is shining brightly. October is layering month and if you’re looking for something funky to dress up those jeans and your heels, this shaggy cardigan jacket is a must have.
I bought this shaggy jacket a couple of months ago for exactly this time of year, lightweight, stylish but warm and cozy at the same time. I love it because it has a 70’s vibe to it and I love clothing from that era. I purchased this one from eBay where I buy a lot of my things, because I’m sure to find unusual and quirky items, which makes me stand out from the crowd. I’ve had so many compliments on this jacket, I’m thinking of buying another in black!

Well guess who overslept and woke up at a 7:00 a.m. to try to snag that gorgeous Marimekko skirt from Banana Republic, only to find out that the sale was open to card holders (which I’m one) 2 days early, and that it was the first item to go!!!! This is what happens when you have too many things going on at the same time!! I need an assistant… Stat!
I was able to snag the strapless dress, which if I like it, will become my Saturday running errands dress. For all of you who were able to grab the skirt… Congrats!! I do have several skirts in the same style as the Marimekko skirt, so I’m not too crushed about it. Apparently it’s also in stores, but I really don’t have time to run around looking for it.

Well Darlings, I for one, cannot wait for the release of the limited edition capsule collection from Banana Republic and Marimekko. Now this is a collaboration I can work with. I will have my Banana card at the ready, especially for the skirt above. I love a full midi skirt with side pockets, which is always a classic and timeless look.
Marimekko’s signature bold prints have graced clothes, fabrics, furniture, and tableware; and now Banana Republic has collaborated with the Finland based brand to come up with what in my opinion, will be a sell out collection {especially that skirt!}.
The two looks below are also on my radar, I’m loving those cropped pants!!
