Chloe & Theodora Wrap Bangle ~ Part II…

In Daily Musings on January 17, 2015 at 3:10 pm

Bangle, Chloe & Theodora Wrap Bangle, Jewelry, Maylana's Chronicles

So my bangle arrived today! I was pleasantly surprised as I truly did not expect it until the end of next week, if that!  I commend MyHabit.com and their speedy shipping.  The bangle is absolutely GORGEOUS! It looks expensive, has a nice weight to it (I don’t like flimsy jewelry!) and will be my go to piece for a while.

As I mentioned in my post on Tuesday, the bangle was originally$78 reduced to $25, well worth it, in my opinion.  Wrap bangle is still available here.

This definitely is a lovely early birthday present to me! Let the celebrations begin!

Love, Light & Blessings!

So I’m crocheting away and watching TV at the same time, when Access Hollywood came on.  I was too lazy to change the channel so I continued to watch.  Now, this is a show I hardly ever watch, but today, I’m glad I did.  This simple and elegant Chloe & Theodora bangle was being showcased on the show and available for purchase via MyHabit.com, for the wonderful price of $25 reduced from $78! It’s 14K gold-plated brass and the stones are Cubic Zirconia. I just love a good sale!! You know I went to my computer immediately and placed my order!  Get yours, supplies are limited.

Obsidian Cuff, ofakind, jewelry, One of a kind #jewelry #obsidiancuff I just saw this beauty on Instagram, which was created by Stanmore NYC for Of A Kind, one of my favourite, what I call blog stores; and fell completely in LOVE.  This cuff is simply GORGEOUS!!! The other word I am looking for is FIERCE!  This truly is a beautiful and elegant piece of art.  The black obsidian stones—with their flecks of white and pounds of  chicness, will definitely spark a conversation.  I have one last gift card from my birthday to use up, which I’ve held on to, in order to treat myself to something really special, this just might be it.  Available at www.ofakind.com Obsidian Cuff, ofakind, jewelry, One of a kind #jewelry #obsidiancuff   Obsidian Cuff, ofakind, jewelry, One of a kind #jewelry #obsidiancuff

Monday Musings, Blog Shop And Other Things…

Maylana's Closet

Hello Darlings! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend as I did.  You’ll be happy to know that the Maylana’s Closet Blog Shop is finally open! Right now the bangles shown above from my “Touch of India Collection”  are available for purchase; there are also a pair of exquisite earrings {seen in 3rd pic below, 5 sets available) also for purchase.  There will be more eclectic and beautiful items coming to the Blog Shop very soon.  Click on the link above, and let me know what you think.  Please bear in mind, it’s still a work in progress.

Pedicure

Part of my weekend was spent pampering myself, so I decided to give myself a pedicure. Color used was Estee Lauder Béte Noire ,{dark purple} with Sally Hansen Diamond Flash Top coat. {Sandals are by Zara, circa 2009} Ladies, pampering yourselves on a regular basis, is conducive to your well-being, it’s a must!

Maylana's Closet

I plan to invest in a tripod very soon, so that I can start taking full length self portraits with my Canon T3i; I realize fully now, that as a blogger, a tripod is your best friend!  In the meantime my trusty iPhone is going to have to do.  Here’s a peek of what I’m wearing today.

New York Tee Shirt

On Saturday I decided to represent my 1st adopted home, New York!!! It was where I lived, my first 15 years in the U.S.  I truly miss living there, there is nothing else like NYC! {click on the link, to hear my favourite New York song}.  So with a pair of scissors, I slashed the neck of this tee-shirt, and I was on my way; having my own personal New York minute.  I hope to take a trip there soon, great blogging material there.

I did not get a chance to participate in the Cherry Blossom Festival on Saturday {I found 1000 other things I needed to do}, but I’m still hoping to bring you some gorgeous photos at a later date.

To round things out, I found this quote on Pinterest and simply love it…

Have yourselves the most fabulous Monday; make sure that YOU make it Amazing!

Joyus bracelets - compressed

Hi Stylish People!  Here we are on another chilly Friday.  Can you belive it was 32 degrees this morning? and it’s not going to be that much higher over the weekend.  I’m pretty sure the groundhog is in his burrow laughing really hard at us.

While going through my daily emails, I came across this lovely gold plated and leather bracelet on Joyus.com {search for The Perfect Bracelet}.  If you’re looking for unusual accessories, Joyus is one of the sites to visit {you have to sign up to be able to shop}.  At only $38 dollars for a set of 3, these would like really nice in multi stacks; and with free shipping on $50 or more it’s worth it.  I know they’ll be on my list of accessories for the upcoming spring/summer season.

CableKeeps by nice

Another little treasure which arrived in my inbox were Cable Keeps by Nice, which are being sold on the Fab.com website, this is another site you need to be a member to shop, but it takes all of 5 minutes to sign up.  If you’re like me and the mess of white cable cords, which power all of our various i-devices does not sit well with you, well, here is a colourful and tidy solution.  They’re only $12 for the next 6 days, not bad for neatness.

The most important things for me to do this weekend, is to get a haircut, upload some new items to my Etsy store, and create a couple of my Penelope Rosette hats for Easter.  What’s on your weekend list?

Whatever you do, have a Restful, Peaceful and Amazing weekend.

Harry And The Rings…

In Daily Musings, New Loves!, Object's of Desire on September 11, 2012 at 6:44 am

I met a lovely young lady recently, who was wearing the most gorgeous ring on a chain around her neck.  The reason said ring is placed there, is because she is 8 months pregnant, and therefore it’s not comfortable to wear at this time.  When I asked her about it, she told me her uncle in law created it for her.  Well… What an absolute treasure this turned out to be.

Who is her uncle? His name is Harry Roa, a fantastic jewelry designer based in Sarasota Florida.  Harry is the designer and owner of Harry Roa Jewelry Design Studio and Gallery {click here}, as well as the OceanLily jewelry boutique which carry his limited editions on Etsy {click here}.

All of his designs are handcrafted using a combination lost wax process and fabrication.  Harry uses Palladium, which is more precious than silver, whiter and lighter than platinum.  Palladium is also a tarnish free metal. He also works with 14K gold.

Each piece of wearable art {and they truly are!} is embellished with quality precious gemstones and diamonds.  Mr. Roa does not produce any molds of any of his pieces; therefore, making each piece a one of a kind. If you’d like to contact Harry in order to commission a special piece, you can contact him via his website.

The ring above is called PS In The Evening ~ That’s the one I have my eye on, it is beyond GORGEOUS!!!

If you do nothing else today, visit Harry’s websites. Each piece is absolutely Stunning!

To Be Adorned With Decadorn…

In Daily Musings, New Loves! on August 30, 2012 at 12:14 pm

A couple of months ago, my sister sent me a beautiful image of a amethyst ring she had just purchased back home in London; what was ironic was that I had bought a very similar ring here in the U.S., maybe 6 months before; talk about having the exact same tastes.

Decadorn Jewelry is the vision of Helen Bailey, who graduated from Nottingham Trent University, with a degree in Textile Design.  Her online bazaar sells unique and striking statement jewelery.  Before starting her own company, Helen worked as a high street Fashion & Accessories Buyer for over 10 years; and therefore has an amazing and experienced eye for detail.

Each piece is absolutely stunning, consisting of mostly Agate, Amethyst and Crystal Quartz {among other semi precious crystals}.  Helen also creates beautiful beaded bracelets of various metals, which are inlaid within a leather cord.  For such beautiful jewelry, her prices are absolutely fantastic!  I’m hoping to have my own fingers and neck adorned with Decadorn in the near future.
