Hello Dahhlings! The photo above {captured by me on my trusty iPhone}, is what I woke up to this morning. This being the 5th day of spring, the joke is still on us. Though pretty and looking much like a Norman Rockwell painting, this is not what we would normally expect for the last week in March.

Hi Stylish People! Here we are on another chilly Friday. Can you belive it was 32 degrees this morning? and it’s not going to be that much higher over the weekend. I’m pretty sure the groundhog is in his burrow laughing really hard at us.
While going through my daily emails, I came across this lovely gold plated and leather bracelet on Joyus.com {search for The Perfect Bracelet}. If you’re looking for unusual accessories, Joyus is one of the sites to visit {you have to sign up to be able to shop}. At only $38 dollars for a set of 3, these would like really nice in multi stacks; and with free shipping on $50 or more it’s worth it. I know they’ll be on my list of accessories for the upcoming spring/summer season.
Another little treasure which arrived in my inbox were Cable Keeps by Nice, which are being sold on the Fab.com website, this is another site you need to be a member to shop, but it takes all of 5 minutes to sign up. If you’re like me and the mess of white cable cords, which power all of our various i-devices does not sit well with you, well, here is a colourful and tidy solution. They’re only $12 for the next 6 days, not bad for neatness.
The most important things for me to do this weekend, is to get a haircut, upload some new items to my Etsy store, and create a couple of my Penelope Rosette hats for Easter. What’s on your weekend list?

Well today is the official first day of spring. With temperatures in the high 40’s low 50’s (plus overnight frost) it certainly does not feel like it. The most important thing is, it’s officially here, which means we have lovely warm weather and blue skies to look forward to.
With thoughts of spring in the air, I thought this lovely floral dress by Haute Hippie at PiperLime.com was a good representation of the weather to come. It’s a little on the expensive side at $565! but I’m sure you can find something very similar at H&M, Zara or any of the other major chain stores. Other than that, I had a fantastic weekend, the weather was absolutely gorgeous, blue skies and lots of sun, and of course today, it’s cloudy and overcast. Well the 8-12″ of snow never showed up. What we did get was sleet mixed with freezing rain and a dusting of snow early yesterday morning. It was quite interesting and fun to listen to the various weather men {or are they weather persons?) create excuses as to why it didn’t happen.
Oh well I had a lovely day; Skyping with my sister in London, and doing all the lovely indulgent things I said I was going to do. It’s Thursday, so we’ve nearly reached the weekend; therefore, I’ve got things to do, and an empire to run! 🙂

Well we’re having a snow day here in Washington, DC. As some of you may know, it takes approximately one snowflake to shut DC down!!! Works for me. We’re expecting approximately 8-12″! We’ll see.
So to amuse myself, these are the things I’ll be doing today: Drinking tea, watching TV, crocheting and reading The Secret {all of this in bed}, while intermittently snacking on goodies. I’m going to throughly enjoy my day.
