As a British National residing in the U.S. I am unable to vote. I pay taxes but can’t vote, something I’ve never understood, but I digress. As a U.S. Citizen, whether naturalized or born here, PLEASE exercise your right to vote today. IT’S IMPORTANT!!! I know who I’d vote for if I were able to, but since this is not a political blog, I have no interest in debating the issue.
I can’t stress enough how important it is that you do your part today, because whomever your guy may be; if you don’t vote, don’t complain that he didn’t win; your vote could have made the difference.
Have yourselves a fabulous Election day!
Voting never goes out of style!
I voted three weeks ago and I consider it as important as you do. I’m considering grabbing your graphic and posting it whenever necessary – but I’ll probably get a cramp in my hand from hitting the “send/post” button 😛
Thank you for making my country a better place to live in because you’re in it!
Hi darling, thanks for your lovely words. I do love being here and it’s great that I have the option to liver here and in London. Grab the graphic and start posting! We’ll deal with the cramps with cocktails later 🙂
I saw a post on Facebook yesterday relating to these elections and immediately thought of you!
Anyhoo, thanks for urging those who can to vote and perhaps it’s better that you didn’t delve into the issue. A blogger I used to follow did so recently, and though I didn’t mind reading about politics in a fashion blog, the way she made her points was very distatseful and made her sound silly as well. I simply had to unfollow.
I have every confidence you would have done a better job had you decided to go there though!
Hi Darling. Thanks so much for your lovely compliments. Yes, I didn’t think it would be appropriate to take on a political conversation. My blog has absoluletly nothing to do with politics. I think as a blogger we need to be neutral (unless that’s what your blog is about); there are just certain subjects we need to stay away from and politics is certainly one of them. If you choose to, tone is going to be very important, so you don’t turn off followers. Right now there are very strong feelings politically and I did not want to open myself up for a debate.
It means a lot to me you took the time to acknowledge this post, tonight should be interesting!
Happy Election Day!
