Well Darlings, Spring has left us once again; it has been a rainy and dreary 3 days here in Washington, DC, the sun has once again disappeared. Apparently this is the 2nd coldest Spring on record, and right now this spring is heading towards being the coldest. It was slighter warmer this time in 1975! It makes me wonder what this summer is going to be like… Will there be one?
The above image was found on Pinterest; I thought she looked so elegant, with her white dress and nude shoes… very summer. I also think the perforated snake-skin Piccadilly wedge by Belstaff {love the wood panel} below, would also be gorgeous with this dress. Hopefully we’ll all be wearing our spring/summer niceties very soon; if this weather ever changes!

Happy Monday Luvvies! Isn’t time flying! Already it’s the first week of May; very soon, we’re going to blink and it’ll be Memorial weekend, are you ready? It’s the Spring bank holiday in the UK, so the family back home have the day off {lucky them!}. I hope you had a fabulous weekend.
My weekend was spent donating clothing and thrifting. It was time to clean out my closets, and get rid of things I know I’ll never ever wear again; remember one woman’s cast offs is another women’s treasure. It takes me a really long time to donate my clothes, because I’ve donated items in the past, and then a year later, gone to look for that particular item to style it a certain way, because I was inspired by something I saw in a magazine, only to realize I no longer have it! I did pick up a few goodies, of which, I did not have time to take photos of; I’ll try to post something for you soon. I’m truly addicted to vintage shopping, at least I know, no one else will be wearing what I’ve bought!♥

RiRi Woo, the MAC lipstick shade created in collaboration with Rihanna, sold out online in three hours {is that a first?}. I love red lipsticks, and I must say, this is a truly gorgeous deep red. My favourite MAC lipstick is actually called ” MAC Red”; this new red, could become a favourite of mine from the MAC cosmetics range. Apparently, there’s a long wait list; in the meantime my Tom Ford Cherry Lush will just have to do!

Happy Thursday Darlings♥ As you may know, I’m on a major health kick, so I thought I’d let you know what’s in today’s smoothie cocktail. Here goes…
- 1 Handful Kale
- 1 Handful Spinach
- 1/2 Apple
- 1/2 Banana
- 1 Tablespoon Flaxseed
- 1 Handful Strawberries
- 1/2 cup spring water
Blend, pour into a martini glass, and sip daintily, like the healthy, and chic Sylista you are.

Hi darlings, it’s an absolutely beautiful day, with an amazingly blue sky, and not a cloud to be found. After 3 days of dark heavy clouds and the pitter patter of rain, it was a relief to wake up this morning, to see sunlight streaming through my living room. I have a small crystal ball hanging in the window, so I was welcomed to a glorious rainbow spectrum, swirling around the room… Lovely!
The photo above, of the Zara shoes, I mentioned in last week’s post, “Zara Spring Things” was taken by the lovely Evy, who is one of my favourite Instagram friends, and also a very new blogger over at FashionistaOver40. Evy has the most amazing and elegant style, with a fashion stylist eye for detail, and is also a true shopaholic like myself. Happy Monday Luvvies! After a glorious sun filled Saturday, we steadily went down hill from there. Today is cloudy and rainy, but nevertheless, it’s an amazing Monday. My sister scored this gorgeous Asian inspired jacket at TopShop last week. Nothing beats the original TopShop flagship store in Oxford Street, London.
I remember going to TopShop as a teenager many moons ago, using my well-earned pocket-money to buy the latest trends. Even now, TopShop is always on my radar when I go back home to London, because I’m sure to find a few pieces of unusual clothing/accessories to bring back. What I love about TopShop is they do not repeat anything, once it’s gone, it’s gone!
I’ve visited TopShop in NYC , but in my opinion, they’ve been unable to replicate the vibe of the Oxford Street store. Beautiful clothes though.

With a 5.5″ heel and 3/4″ platform, these sky-high heels are a cross between fashion and mathematical engineering. With a whopping price tag of $2,795.95, it’ll be interesting to see which actress/singer/reality show person, will be seen wearing them first.

Happy Wednesday Darlings, here are a few of my favourite things from Zara. I’m totally in love with this fuchsia pink suit, talk about making a statement when you walk into a room. Yes, all eyes will be on you!
Loving this double-breasted waistcoat, I love the extended cut of the armhole, there’s so much you could do with this; dress it up or down, a classic go to item.

Hi Darlings, happy Monday to you! I hope you enjoyed your weekend as much as I did.
I think Mother Nature did not get the memo that its spring, because right now it’s 45 degrees and cold! This has been the oddest spring to date, the weather does not seem to be able to make up it’s mind. As a reminder of the spring we’re supposed to be having, here’s a photo, which I took near my home last week.
