Green Smoothie

After posting these photos on Instagram, I was asked to post the recipe to my blog.  I’m on day 3 of a 10 day juicing and all veggie diet {I don’t really like the word diet, but you know what I mean}, and I must say, so far so good. 🙂 I’m drinking approximately 10 ounces every 2 to 3 hours with water in between, this way there’s no time to feel hungry.

Ingredients:

  • Apple
  • Banana
  • Blueberries
  • Strawberries
  • Spinach
  • Flaxseed
  • Almond Milk

Juice now

This one is basically the same, but instead the ingredients are:

  • Mango
  • Kiwi
  • Banana
  • Blueberries
  • Strawberries
  • Flaxseed
  • Almond milk

A friend of mine {who is on this smoothie journey with me} created a delicious concoction in her Vitamix this morning {I never realized how expensive these were, but definitely worth it}.  It was a very dark green, but truly delicious! Sorry I don’t have a photo.

Ingredients were:

  • Spirulina
  • Pea Protein
  • Banana
  • Blueberries
  • Chai Seeds
  • Almond Milk

There are so many variations on these green and fruit smoothies.  I’d love to hear your suggestions in the comments section, so that I can switch things up a bit.
