What A Great Sunday!!

In Daily Musings on December 16, 2012 at 4:32 pm

It’s Sunday, and its been a really good day both professionally and personally. I’ve accomplished quite a lot today!  I hope your Sunday has been as wonderful as mine.  I’ve managed to complete 4 of my infamous crochet flower hats, made some sales, taken new photos for my Etsy store; and with my sister, we’ve managed to dream up even more fabulous ideas for our business.  It’s great when you have a business partner, who’s on the same page as you, and then constantly brings added fabulousness and creativity every time!  Love you SIS!

Red hat

The hat above {originally called the Penelope hat}, is a staple of the Maylana’s Closet collection. The quote above, is quite fitting, because creating these hats is definitely one of the things my future self, will thank me for! In a future post I’ll tell you how the Maylana’s Closet crochet hats got started, it’s a story near and dear to me… Stay tuned!!  If you’d like more information regarding hats from the Maylana’s Closet Collection please email me at

Here’s a glimpse of a beautiful item that’s going to hit the Etsy store this week, it’s GORGEOUS!!

Wishing you a Glorious, Inspiring and Amazing week!

The Beautiful Art Of Letting Go…

In Daily Musings, New Loves! on October 31, 2012 at 10:27 am

This beautiful and inspirational poem by Ernest Holmes was posted on my Facebook timeline a few days ago, and it truly moved me; it moved me to the point where I felt I had to share it with you.  This poem beautifully illustrates the art of letting go.  Sometimes you just have to “LET GO” What did you let go of today?

She Let Go

She let go. Without a thought or a word, she let go.

She let go of the fear.  She let go of the judgments.

She let go of the confluence of opinions swarming around her head.

She let go of the committee of indecision within her.

She let go of all the ‘right’ reasons.

Wholly and completely, without hesitation or worry, she just let go.

She didn’t ask anyone for advice. She didn’t read a book on how to let go.

She didn’t search the scriptures. She just let go.

She let go of all of the memories that held her back.

She let go of all of the anxiety that kept her from moving forward.

She let go of the planning and all of the calculations about how to do it just right.

She didn’t promise to let go. She didn’t journal about it.

She didn’t write the projected date in her Day-Timer.

She made no public announcement and put no ad in the paper.

She didn’t check the weather report or read her daily horoscope. She just let go.

She didn’t analyze whether she should let go.

She didn’t call her friends to discuss the matter.

She didn’t do a five-step Spiritual Mind Treatment.

She didn’t call the prayer line. She didn’t utter one word. She just let go.

No one was around when it happened.

There was no applause or congratulations.

No one thanked her or praised her.

No one noticed a thing. Like a leaf falling from a tree, she just let go.

There was no effort. There was no struggle.

It wasn’t good and it wasn’t bad. It was what it was, and it is just that.

In the space of letting go, she let it all be.

A small smile came over her face. A light breeze blew through her.

And the sun and the moon shone forevermore.
