It’s Finally Here… Happy New Year!

In Daily Chronicles, Daily Musings on January 1, 2014 at 10:57 am

2014 came in quietly, she gently sat down beside me and asked, “so what do we do now?” my response, with the grace of God go I.  This year, I won’t be making the usual resolutions, the only thing I ask is for Grace, and nothing short of Amazing, which I know I’ll be blessed with.  As I gave thanks to the most high for seeing me through the difficult challenges of 2013, and I reflected back on my year, I hope I have learned even more valuable lessons about this journey called life.  I feel that I have grown to become a much more enlightened and enriched woman than the one who celebrated her 50th birthday last January, because I’m most definitely not the same as before.  Now it’s time to move forward and accomplish the personal goals I have set for myself.

Once again I want to thank my fantastic and beautiful loyal followers who are here with me on my blogging journey, even though I’ve been unable to post as often as I’d like, due to my hectic schedule, which I’m hoping to rectify soon.  I’m wishing you all, the most fabulous year you’ve ever witnessed, may your dreams be fulfilled, and you keep moving forward in your high heels and flats on your own incredible journey.

I want to wish you the most Blessed, Prosperous, Creative and Amazingly wonderful 2014.  Namaste!

The Beautiful Art Of Letting Go…

In Daily Musings, New Loves! on October 31, 2012 at 10:27 am

This beautiful and inspirational poem by Ernest Holmes was posted on my Facebook timeline a few days ago, and it truly moved me; it moved me to the point where I felt I had to share it with you.  This poem beautifully illustrates the art of letting go.  Sometimes you just have to “LET GO” What did you let go of today?

She Let Go

She let go. Without a thought or a word, she let go.

She let go of the fear.  She let go of the judgments.

She let go of the confluence of opinions swarming around her head.

She let go of the committee of indecision within her.

She let go of all the ‘right’ reasons.

Wholly and completely, without hesitation or worry, she just let go.

She didn’t ask anyone for advice. She didn’t read a book on how to let go.

She didn’t search the scriptures. She just let go.

She let go of all of the memories that held her back.

She let go of all of the anxiety that kept her from moving forward.

She let go of the planning and all of the calculations about how to do it just right.

She didn’t promise to let go. She didn’t journal about it.

She didn’t write the projected date in her Day-Timer.

She made no public announcement and put no ad in the paper.

She didn’t check the weather report or read her daily horoscope. She just let go.

She didn’t analyze whether she should let go.

She didn’t call her friends to discuss the matter.

She didn’t do a five-step Spiritual Mind Treatment.

She didn’t call the prayer line. She didn’t utter one word. She just let go.

No one was around when it happened.

There was no applause or congratulations.

No one thanked her or praised her.

No one noticed a thing. Like a leaf falling from a tree, she just let go.

There was no effort. There was no struggle.

It wasn’t good and it wasn’t bad. It was what it was, and it is just that.

In the space of letting go, she let it all be.

A small smile came over her face. A light breeze blew through her.

And the sun and the moon shone forevermore.
