I had a really productive weekend; I photographed and uploaded some new inventory to my Etsy store, drafted a few potential blog posts and was all around very productive. Having your own business, truly is a beautiful thing; lots of hard work, but totally worth it. Stay tuned to the beautiful crochet cowls coming from Maylana’s Closet and the gorgeous knits coming from Sassy Knits; my big sister’s entrepreneurial venture in London.
Speaking of big sisters, here she is being her usual fabulous and gorgeous self; seen here with the extremely talented Omar at his concert in London on Saturday might; plus another pic with Jade {Baby Spice’s hubby}. I miss my big sis and hope to see her soon. Love you Al!! Smooches!
P.S. In case you’re wondering the beautiful clutch bag above is by Miu Miu.
Do you want everyone to know you’re an elegant book-worm? If you’re like me, you always have a book in your bag {though some prefer Kindles or Nooks, I still prefer paper}; well you can with these beautiful quirky reinterpretations of hardcover literary classics; recreated as book clutches by Parisian designer, Olympia Le-Tan. Chanel and Kate Spade also have their own versions {I love the Chanel one above}. For those of us who’ve been around a while, we know this trend is not new.
I remember the Vogue magazine clutches of the 80’s, glossy elongated envelopes created with classic Vogue covers. I wish I had one now! These unique treasures have lately been seen on the red carpet of various events. The clutches are retailing between $1120 – $1420. What I do love about the Olympia Le-Tan clutches is that they are lined in beautiful Liberty of London fabric.
It appears the Olympia Le-Tan clutches, which appeared around 2009 are becoming collectors items, because the more popular titles have become hard to come by, and of course are selling on eBay at ridiculous prices. If you are DIY inclined (the route I would go!), here is a link by Scibbit which shows you step by step how to create your own book clutch for a fraction of the price. click here; and here’s another tutorial from the Huffington Post; creating a clutch from an actual book.click here

Happy Monday Dahhlings! Here we are at the start of a new week; another chance to accomplish something extraordinary! I hope you had a wonderful weekend; It got a little chilly yesterday, but that’s autumn for you. What’s on your to do list this week?
Remember to always do what Marilyn’s asking… She’s right!
Have yourselves a Fabulous, Inspiring and Beautiful week.
P.S. As I was about to post “Have An Amazing Monday“, I found this beautiful quote posted on my Facebook timeline, and had to include it.
So much has happened since my last post a week ago! Fall arrived, new contract keeping me busy, attended a very elegant fashion affair; and now I’m nursing a horrible head cold. So here’s a quick post for you, until I’m feeling better.
I found these colourful Missoni inspired shoes by Betsy Johnson and thought they were worth posting. Click here to purchase
I’d wear these beauties with a black menswear inspired pants suit accessorized with a rose gold clutch in order for the shoe to make it’s own “quiet” statement.

Wow!!! What a week! This was the longest and shortest week ever! Have you ever had one of those?
I’ve got so much going on; new contract; trying to start and finish up the Maylana’s Closet winter accessory line; coordinate with my sister who is in the middle of creating her own knitwear line, while helping me prepare for the big fashion event I wrote about on Monday click here. Are there enough hours in the day… Help!!
The above photo is where I’d love to be right about now!
Before I slept for a week, I’d take a long soak in this gorgeous specimen of a tub…
I’m in love with these ballet flats from J. Crew. With it’s very lady like, yet edgy, gold chain T-strap. it’s the ideal dainty running around shoe, when heels just won’t do, but you still want to look chic. Also available in black ~ $198 at J. Crew.
I had to post this shot of Linda Rodin from the J. Crew 2012 fall campaign, who is still fierce at 63 years old! ~ Stylist turned beauty guru, still modeling, running a successful skin care line for mature women, among other things. I love this quote from her “You can’t chase youth. You’ll just look older with a face lift.” How true!
This is going to be an extremely busy week, so my posts might be sparse; but I’ll try to send out a few short posts to keep you smiling. Look out for some great images from New York Fashion week, courtesy of my friends over at Medina=Citi {yes the equal sign is deliberate}.
Happy Wednesday Dahhlings! We’re half way there, speeding towards the weekend; so to help you along, I’m sending some cheerful colour into your life.
I Found this gorgeous shot on Pinterest and had to post it for you. I felt the colours were amazing with her exotic almond shaped eyes, and decided that all this sparkle, was just the thing to perk you up, and help you through the next 2 days. WE’RE NEARLY THERE!
I need your help; can anyone think of another term for Wednesday instead of “hump day“? I really dislike that term! Isn’t there something more fun and a little more chic we could use?
Happy Labor Day to you Dahhlings! I hope you are enjoying your much deserved day off. For most of us, this is the last holiday until Thanksgiving {not many get Columbus or Veterans Day, unless you work for the Government}, so enjoy it!
Well as you can see from above, this is my 200th post and I’m quite proud of myself. Blogging has been fantastic for me and to me; therefore, I’ve decided to dedicate this post to say Thank You! Blogging has allowed me to meet the most wonderful people on WordPress and other sites such as Twitter, BlogTrends and Instagram, to name a few. I’ve been embraced by bloggers of all genres, large and small, and I appreciate it.
The blogging community as a whole, is like one big creative family constantly supporting each other; I’m happy to be a part of it. So once again, I’d love to thank you all for following and reading my posts, and I look forward to writing another 200, plus many more in the coming future.
This would be a cool bed to watch all the marathon TV shows, which are being shown today ~ I’m an NCIS fan myself!

Well my Harper’s Bazaar arrived in the mail yesterday and was not forced into my mail box, but placed nicely on the stairs by Ms. Mail Lady. I’ve got one more to go (Elle) and then I’ll do my homework to see what trends I’ll incorporate into my wardrobe this season.
I must say the Harper’s Bazaar magazine is less impressive in size then Vogue’s 916 pages; coming in at a wimpy 550 pages, (yes I know Vogue has a gazillion more ads). I could swear there were more pages in Harper’s last year; although I remember reading somewhere, that all the September issues are 20% bigger this year. I’ll let it slide though, because Harper’s really is my all time favourite of all the fashion magazines. What’s yours?
Well beautiful people, it’s Monday again, I hope you had a wonderful and productive weekend. Mine was pretty low-key; getting over a slight cold, and pretty much getting myself in order.
It’s a new week and time to make some things happen. I’m putting my best 4″ wedged heels forward. What are you going to make happen this week? Remember, there is no time like the present.
Whatever you’ve been putting off, try to put it in motion, TODAY!
